I loved wearing it in a certain area to monitor blood flow but unfortunately lost it in a rather dubious lady I met down at the docks that said she loved me for my personality. Thank goodness for the "Find My" app.

Where is the rest of the article? Or is this Clickbait? I have had 2 smart watch but am considering the switch to garmin during black Friday deals. But if I can find more real world useful features for my series 9 I'll wait another year. This mentions upper arm but no other locale What other parts of the body are they wearing it and why?

Chinese knockoffs of these watches cost under $100, and actually can do more, some which provide blood glucose readings, heart rate, oxygen level, blood pressure, and much more

What's interstinmg about the paper is that they tested exactly one brand of smartwatch - the Apple Watch - and only one model, the Apple Watch 8. The sample set was two watches in total and four test subjects - all surgeons while engaged in robot assisted surgery.

There are numerous issues with this study both in methodology and sample size.

The paper also reads more like a marketing paper for Apple products, given that while the authors refer to "smartwatches" in general, only one model of watch was tested (along with the requisite Apple related products like iPads that are necessary since Apple products do not interoperate with other systems).

I do wonder though, if this exact same study had been done with say, Samsung Watch 5s or Google Pixel 2s, if we'd have even known it existed.

A new study proves the accuracy of the Apple Watch - even when it is worn in an unusual place. The study also shows that the watch can be used in rather unusual situations.
