I mean we also have HDR8, HDR8+, HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, PQ10, HDR Vivid, HLG, companies are always spinning millions of variants of HDR technologies.

LOL we now call HDR ultra HDR for some extra marketing spin. How much more HDR is ultra HDR. Anyone would think Google just invented HDR.

The first photos shot using Google's new Ultra HDR image format have been published online. Available to try out for the first time in Android 14 with the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, the Ultra HDR image format adds an HDR gain map to a standard JPG image, which creates problems with incompatible systems for now.
