Well, AI "art" and "photography" is cringe. Masses in general love cringe. The bigger cringe the more popular it gets (think about reality shows vs something that's actually good content, which one is significantly more popular?). So nothing really surprising there.

Adobe Stock is one of the biggest repository of non-royalty images online. It is also the only one accepting output from generative AI as such at the time of writing. A new analysis of the sale of and revenue from images available on the platform suggests that the latter has outdone 'real' media from photographers in some respects since 2022.
