I'm the happy owner of a P650RP6-G.
Except the BIOS that I find strangely slow everything is working fine (on Arch Linux by the way).
As said in the review a bit of screen bleeding, but for me it doesn't look worse than what I'm seeing around me.

The 1060 is a very powerful (a new world for me, coming from a good old intel HD4000)
And by chance I've got a i7-6820HK instead of the i7-6700HQ. (thanks pcw.fr)

The build is good.
With 64GB max of RAM and 4 slots for storage I'm covered for a long time I guess !

Nice computer. Not cheap but good.

Could you make a review on the Clevo P650RS?
I'm guessing they would be basically the same but the GTX 1070 would greatly improve performance and probably influences the temps and battery life.

Also, do ALL units have backlight bleeding issues or only some? Thanks!

MSI GS73 Stealth Pro is a copy of this? The MSI Stealth pro, is about 5.5 pounds, has the triple fan design like this one, same hinge desing. The trackpad and vents r different, along with the speake system, poert and other stuff.... Did MSI get the design from Clevo or vice versa?

Also I notice the Clevo can have both G-Sync & Optimus but the MSI cannot, thanks to that magical graphics switch..
So what's the story of this MSI vs this Clevo?

I have no idea who buys these laptops. just as expensive as other brands but much uglier. unless you live in a region where there are no other brands i cannot think of a reason why somebody would possibly think of getting a schenker, clevo, eurocom etc...

Actually, Clevo is a very reputable brand for performance/price ratio especially for gaming. Schenker is just a distributor/rebrand of Clevo laptops. It's not some local brand, but it is pretty known among gaming laptop users unless you only look at MSI, Asus, Razerblade and what not mainstream brands. Clevo is an OEM to many laptop brands like MSI too.

Pay more for that brand and iconic design or pay a little less for the simple "just laptop" design and true performance without branding, you choose. For me, I'd go with Clevo because I stick with performance and the laptop looks much cleaner compared to counterparts IMO. The p670rs-g they offer looks beautiful, aluminum finishing on the bottom compared to p650. Not too thick and heavy either.

XMG is saying the EC BIOS update fixes the fan noise quite a bit.

Shame that couldn't be tested properly on this unit. Will have to wait for another review.

Such detailed review but no mention of the refresh rate of the display (60 hz). We are seeing lots of gaming laptops come out with 75hz and 120hz screens. Is this detail not important?

@nitroxyl
i think otherway, why would anybody buy those "gamer" RGB edition laptops which are just ugly, this laptop is normal, it dosent have any stuff that other "normal" laptops have.
Yea, they are expansive, just like any >=970m or pascal laptops, i wonder how can anybody buy those, for graphic card you are spending ~600-800 dollars/euro more.

I would like to see the thicker GTX 1070 equipped one to see if it runs any cooler and quieter.

Disagree. P650 series have, until now, been fantastic machines.

Much better value than MSI or ASUS here in Australia.

Unfortunately, this particular iteration is way too loud and hot for me to consider or recommend.

Pascal Debut. After many notebooks based on the brand new high-end GPUs GeForce GTX 1070 and GTX 1080 have already passed  through our hands, we could take a look at the equally exciting GTX 1060 this time. Is the 16 nm architecture also convincing in this case? The Schenker XMG P507 gives answers.
