Acer's sleek new 14-inch subnotebook sports a sleek metal chassis, a Ryzen 5 APU and dual-channel RAM among other features. The rest of the device seems on point too, with Acer including an NVMe SSD, matte IPS screen, and a backlit keyboard. These are joined by good battery life too.

You guys made a mistake on the "cons" list.
It numbers the "pros" instead of the cons.

219 brightness=dark room only. inappropriate brightness for this type(portable, buisiness, ) of devices. 219 brightness is okish for 200-300 usd multimedia desktop replacement. for siiting at home in a dark room and browsing and youtubing.
The laptop is bright enough for any indoor use. I never used the laptop outside since the invention of smartphones anyway.
Most of the time I keep the brightness between 20-60%.
But for someone who likes blast the brightness all the way up- it may not be enough.
How do I activate the backlit keyboard? Because mine seems to not have that feature
