The Deep Crimson Multicoat and Mercury Silver Metallic colors that leaked in the Tesla app last year may turn out to be actual hues in which Model Y SUVs will be coming off the conveyor belts of the Gigafactory Berlin over the coming months. Elon Musk tipped that the red color consists of no less than 13 layers, while the 'liquid silver' meeds 8 layers of paint to materialize.
