Honor's chief executive officer (CEO) Zhao Ming has revealed some opinions on the current trend toward the co-branding of premium Android smartphone cameras. In the executive's opinion, they may not add enough to a consumer's UX to keep them out of "gimmick" territory in all cases. Therefore, his OEM is not likely to join others such as Xiaomi and OPPO in securing co-branding with a well-known camera company.

What he says is kind of true:

Apple/Samsung have never partnered with any brand and they do have solid cameras.

On the other hand, Nokia did have Zeiss colaboration in the past, and they did show results to speak about it. Android OEMs, so far, havent done that yet.
