Network slicing refers to the process of sharing a single network (usually for mobile data) between different use-cases (e.g. IoT or VR) in a way that renders the same connectivity optimal for each one. Therefore, its market is likely to benefit from the rise of 5G. A new market research report estimates its value will grow to US$600 million or more by 2026.
