Mozilla's GitHub now offers a version of Firefox for Android that is updated compared to the app available on the Google Play Store. Its most interesting attribute is an ability to add extensions to this mobile browser for the first time. There is only 1 add-on available at present, but the developer is confident there will be more soon.

I'm confused, I've been using ublock on my firefox mobile for android since firefox mobile first came out...
So what exactly is new here?
Okay, I had to look it up. This isn't FireFox, as I mentioned FireFox had extension support for a long long time.
This if Mozilla making something called GeckoView to replace WebView. Then making a browser based on it. The goal is to make FireFox faster by optimizing it more for android. And the test client for that is FireFox Preview which will later become firefox mobile.
So they added extension support of ublock to that new upcomming browser. So now it is getting more feature parity with the normal firefox mobile.
