Title: Dell Precision 7720 (Xeon, P5000, 4K) Workstation Review
Post by: Redaktion on January 24, 2018, 12:06:51
Fully specced. The Dell Precision wants to be the best mobile workstation with a mobile Xeon processor, plenty of RAM, Nvidia's new P5000 GPU, and a high-resolution PremierColor display.

Not a surprising price for a fully-specced workstation.

"Not a surprising price for a fully-specced workstation."

Really? The 7710 was about 3700E.

Just wonder what is exact model name of the reviewed Dell Precision 7720? - i. e. 7720-8062, 7720-8086...
Unfortunately I tried but failed to learn the full list of its modifications.
Could anyone help me to find it?

I'd really like to see how the consumer GPUs perform in the productivity tests in this article. It seems to me that the whole Quadra range is just astronomically overpriced and a complete rip off.  I've yet to see a single performance test in any scenario that justifies the sacking great premium you pay for 'quadro'. I just *wish* Dell would release workstations with consumer gpus in. This is my perfect machine, loads of expansion, made for work eta. But the huge huge price you pay for a decent Quadro card that can compete with a consumer card is just totally insane :(
