Title: Smartphone research data shows Apple winning over Android users
Post by: Redaktion on October 11, 2018, 00:51:49
Research data, created by BofA Merrill Lynch Global Research and shared by Horace Dediu on Twitter, has shown that Apple and its products seem to be succeeding in tempting Android users away from their currently owned devices. For example, according to the statistics in the chart, 19% of Samsung-smartphone owners are considering an Apple device as their next purchase.

70% of Samsung smartphone owners are considering an Android phone as their next device compared to 19% considering iPhone. On the other hand, 70% of iPhone owners are considering buying an iPhone again and 20% considering switching to Android.
How can you call that a win?

This not a numbers fight between Samsung and Apple and is completely wrong to think about it that way. Android users have the freedom to choose the manufacturer of their liking. iOS users are stuck with Apple.
