Qualcomm brings art-generating AI to smartphones with on-device Smart Diffusion demo

Qualcomm AI Research reports that it has made an on-device version of a generative AI text-to-image converter that works on Android smartphones. This was done using the OEM's AI Engine and the Hexagon Processor that is part of the new flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, and resulted in the fastest example of AI image-generation on a mobile device yet.
