Title: Chargeasap's new up-to-200W USB type C power brick garners over US$450,000 on Kickstarter

Chargeasap, the maker of the Indiegogo hit the Flash power bank, are back on crowdfunding with another potentially groundbreaking power accessory. This Omega wall-wart has 2 versions: one that rated to charge at up to 100 watts (W), and one at 200W. It had a goal of US$10,000 on Kickstarter, but left this threshold behind a long time ago.

Impressive, but...it's overkill for Type C devices. The first thing they should've done was to have it be able to output all 200W to a single DC barrel to allow compatibility to gaming laptops. It's a near universal issue that the heavy duty adapters for laptops are ugly and inefficient, and having to deal with two cords coming out of both sides of the power brick is a fuss. Many would want a more compact and cooler-running alternative to carry around that directly attaches to the wall, not to mention the ability to also charge other devices when the laptop doesn't use the full 200W. That would be the ultimate say in travel chargers!

I'll pay $75 for a charger that can output 230W through a single port.
That's what's needed for the most demanding laptops.
Until then...
