The new HP Pavilion 14 is here with a refreshed design, new processors and in a choice of six colours. The Tiger Lake laptop can be equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce MX450 GPU too and starts from just US$579.99.

What's the point pairing an iGPU that's supposedly faster than MX350 with a bit faster dedicated gpu?

The design decisions are made in  along time in advance. I don't think HP expected Tiger Lake Xe to be this good. So they didn't get a time to redesign. Most people won't bye the extra MX GPU. No point of adding extra weight and strain on battery.

In a few years I think iGPUs will be enough for all AAA gaming as well (at minimum 60fps High settings 1080p in the most demanding AAA game).

Also, mx450 is about 50-100% better than xe, so it is ok
