Xiaomi has introduced the Mi Box 4S MAX in China, where it sells for CNY 499 (~US$75). Listed as supporting 8K content, the Mi Box 4S MAX has HDMI 2.1 connectivity, relies on an Amlogic S905X3 chipset and has 4 GB of RAM.

Neither the S905X3 nor the S905X4 support 8K video decode, as far as I know. Not sure about 8K display output in general.

Does it support av01 playback? Also will it be available globally?
