Title: Android 11 on the Xiaomi Mi A1 via Descendant XI: An interesting ROM with a few unique features
Post by: Redaktion on February 13, 2021, 22:22:27
Descendant is the only custom ROM to have a COVID-19 information area accessible from Settings as Descendant Health that also includes screen on and sleep notifications, not to mention the heart-shaped icon settings, and much more. The software package includes Google Apps, Kiwi Browser, and Metro.

I own mido, to same sd625 owner, unless you use it as daily driver, I would highly recommend not to move too early to A11. I know sd625 is started to get limited custom ROMs, since most everyone gets moved on to the newer devices. Try to find the most stable and frequently update A10. I myself run on Aosip Q, it's butter smooth, everything works including the capacitive buttons. You might not find it for tissot, but I believe there are others A10 in there.

If you check my other articles like this one, you will see that some Android 11 ROMs have no issues with the capacitive buttons. In the worst case, they work but do not light up - some users would probably like it this way more... batter savings, lol. I would definitely use an Android 11 ROM as my daily driver as long as it has aptX support and doesn't kill my batter too fast. I could live without Google Assistant, after all. P.S. Sadly, I moved on to the Mi 10T Pro and now I play with Android 11 on the Mi A1 while waiting to finally move from 10 to 11 on the 10T Pro... ;)
