Title: Eve Devices teases a possible V 2020 announcement
Post by: Redaktion on November 20, 2020, 22:26:40
The Eve V 2020 is an upcoming device touted as a potential Microsoft Surface Pro rival. Its manufacturer has issued a December 2020 "save the date", with strong overtones of an unveiling or statement related to the Tiger Lake 2-in-1 to occur on the date in question. However, nothing is certain as yet.

Why do you never address the reality of Eve Devices? They have scammed hundreds and possibly thousands of people who preordered the first V.

People are STILL waiting for refunds or a device THREE YEARS LATER.

They have not even delivered Spectrum and are starting preorders for something else? This reeks of being a ponzi scheme.

Hard to disagree with this, as a previous V backer and a current Spectrum pre-order holder.

I was lucky enough to sell my pledge for my original Eve V, prior to them running into the difficulties that they had, as I needed a new device sooner.

I'm (still) holding out for the Spectrum, with my $100 down-payment, as it's refundable and the price it allowed me to lock in ($549) for a 4K 144Hz HDMI 2.1 monitor is worth what risk there may be, in my opinion.

The 2 month delay, announced a couple weeks ago, doesn't make me a whole lot more confident though and I have to say I would certainly never consider pre-ordering anything from them, at least until they demonstrate a better track record.

I guess the Eve team need their Christmas bonuses.  Based on past experience, expect the new V to be delivered at least 1 year after the shipping date they state, or not at all.
