Since Intel first revealed its new Comet Lake-S processors and its new chipsets at the end of April, we were able to get our hands only on the high-end Intel Core i9-10900K and the Intel Core i5-10600K. Intel's CPUs are still the best for gaming, but this comes at a very high cost.

The dollar cost isn't what kills this Intel offering. It is the very high power usage and heat generated by the chip.
I hope Intel figures their stuff out and can start to compete with AMD in a year or two in thermal output and power draw.
Competition is great for consumers.
