Title: No price cuts for the RTX 20 series as NVIDIA kills off all but the RTX 2060; Super prices and release dates confirmed
Post by: Redaktion on June 29, 2019, 19:23:35
The release of the RTX 20 Super series will not coincide with price drops for current RTX 20 Desktop GPUs. Instead, NVIDIA will only keep on the RTX 2060 and RTX 2080 Ti, with the other two SKUs being replaced by their Super successors. RTX 20 Super series cards will start at US$399 and be available from July 9.

Interesting choice by Nvidia. Was actually expecting them to nickel and dime hard core. They were a step away from overcrowding their own line up.

Wonder how are the merchants sell off the 'new' but now 'old' GPUs they have? But sales and I suppose the new "Super," designation sort of solves that?

Hope it doesn't devolve into just an S designation though, cause that could easily be mistaken as just a variant not an actually improved product. As strange as Ti was it definitely showed it was different.

Competition has driven this change though so that's always good.
