Title: "Laughable" RTX 4080 stock levels hinted at launch while the RX 7900 XT and XTX supply could be much better vs the RTX 4090

The RTX 4080 will be up for sale starting today. Compared to the RTX 4090, the latest rumors suggest the GPU is in short supply at major retailers. On the other hand, the RDNA 3-based RX 7900 XT and the RX 7900 XTX are expected to have much better stock compared to the RTX 4090 and the RTX 4080.

I have just been curious and watched availability in Germany during the first hour.

€1469 MSRP

€1799 Least over-priced allegedly immediately available model of some cheap manufacturer

€1659 fake availability already vanishing when clicking Buy button

€1469 for a few minutes Asus TUF available at one retailer for pre-order with unknown waiting time

In conclusion, similar to 3080 launch day. Who cares? 4080 is €500 over-priced at MSRP so nobody should buy it anyway. However, if this launch is the model for subsequent launches, Nvidia may as well announce bankruptcy.
