Vaonis has announced the Hyperia, a telescope that it claims is one of the most powerful of its kind on the market. The Vaonis Hyperia is over two metres tall, weighs 75 kg and can shoot in up to 61 MP.

$45k for a 150mm f/7 refractor? No way, really.

For that amount of money you can have a 50cm RC telescope that will blow anything that tiny refractor can produce out of the water, no matter what kind of fancy Sony sensor it uses.

This is badly overpriced stuff made for people having no clue about astrophotography.
