Title: Cherry Pi: A single-board computer that is compatible with the Raspberry Pi but is also an Orange Pi clone
Post by: Redaktion on February 26, 2021, 00:00:11
With the Cherry Pi PC, Shenzhen LC Technology has created a single-board computer that is compatible with the Raspberry Pi. However, the Allwinner H3-based board also looks an awful lot like the Orange Pi, another SBC based on the same ARM processor. The Cherry Pi sells for US$16.50 on AliExpress.

Seriously Lu Wu?
On the non-EMMC version there's literally nowhere to place any file, talk less of a malicious file.
I would assume that you could either flash the EMMC chip or replace it yourself on the EMMC version.
Then there would also be pentesters and reverse-engineers that could verify what's on the board.
I agree that the chinese gov is iffy, but this is just a cheap sbc.
