A new rumour from South Korea suggests that Microsoft and AMD are developing an Arm processor for laptops. It will use Cortex-X1 CPU cores, an AMD mRDNA2 GPU with 8CUs, and an Exynos 5G modem. The mystery SoC will be fabbed on TSMC's 5nm node.

It doesn't make much sense to say that Samsung's participation in the project will concern the design of the chip: in this case, what is AMD's role?
