Nice!!!!! Now for 6 core 8700HQ to be installed and apply that same X-Rite pantone calibration on a matte UHD Panel and we pretty much got a 4 year future proof notebook on our hands here, if not longer. The Aero 15 series has a lot of things going for it and it could be the next king in town with the above specs.

Where did you pull that 40% number from?? Notebookcheck.net charts show about 15% average for 1070MQ over GTX 1060.

Not even a standard GTX 1070 is 40% more GPU power than a GTX 1060. It is about 30% average on your charts

Really excited for this.

Hopefully the battery life doesn't suffer.

Will they fix the keyboard issue on this model, regarding multiple keys pressed! I hope so.

US$2,200 base MSRP?? Their Aero line is already too expensive and I fear its real world dGPU performance will suffer from terrible cooling similar to its competition - Clevo P950HR and MSI GS63. Rollover hardware issue on the RGB keyboard is still unresolved on all new laptops from their Aorus, Aero and Phantasus lineups but I do hope they've looked into it at the least.

@Gary:

That isn't at all comparable to the Aero 15X. To begin with, the P35X v7 has a non Max-Q GTX1070 and is heavier starting at 2.4 kg. And with its small 76 Wh battery and a power-hogging UHD only display, it lasts at most 3 hours while on battery on average load. Not to mention one of THE WORST cooling design in the entire industry, core temps consistently reaching over 90 and up to 100C without any effects from undervolt and repaste attempts. It is absolutely mind-boggling to me that they've put that thing out as an actual product on the market. Having used several of them, I would never recommend Gigabyte's P3X lineup to anyone, at least for now.

Hmmm, nope.

GTX 1070 approx 50% better than a GTX 1060 - https://www.3dmark.com/compare/fs/13541244/fs/12865181

I think you misunderstood the post. "Standard" as in stock, and "Average" based of noteboockcheck's own charts...

Comparing a highly overclocked system to another overclocked system is another can of worms. Dependent on silicon, cooling tweaks, and environmental conditions.

That is besides the point. Not a single GTX 1070 Max-Q on the market performs anywhere near 40% performance gain from 1060. So I was wondering where the article writer pulled the # from.

He is giving false expectations, so when the Areo performs 15% better (the realistic number for a very slim 14" chassis notebook) people will be super bummed

Please... please add g-sync.

Without it, it's useless. Might as well just leave use a 1050ti without g-sync. Gaming is only secondary without it.
