Title: AMD briefly drops Vega 56 to US$279 to take on the GTX 1660 Ti, sells out within hours
Post by: Redaktion on February 23, 2019, 08:38:17
In the wake of NVIDIA announcing the 'Turing' GTX 1660 Ti GPU, AMD announced a limited period offer for the Vega 56 by bringing down the price of the card to the same US$279 price point. Unfortunately, though, the card appears to have been sold out and it is not known if and when AMD will reinstate the offer again.

Yeah, its kind of better due to normal freesynch support. Plus it has higher resell value due to professional usage and HBM memory.
I dont get why NVIDIA needs 2 cards between 1060 and 2060. Basically, they could just drop prices on 1070 and be just fine, but no, they made TWO ALMOST useless cards!!!

they willing to gain the loss that much just to show how smartless Nvidia is.. btw.. they pissed lots of gamers that bought the card before the massive drops too.
