Der Nachfolger der Nvidia GTX 1070 soll auf dem gleichen GT104-Chip basieren wie die GTX 1180, andere Ausstattungsmerkmale wie Taktrate, CUDA-Cores und RAM werden jedoch abgespeckt. Die Leistungsaufnahme könnte sich daher auf bis zu 140 Watt reduzieren, wodurch die Karte auch wieder für Kryptominer interessant würde.
