The Fairphone 4 will be a more modern smartphone than its predecessors, both internally and externally. The device will start at close to €600 though, a sharp increase on the price of the Fairphone 3 Plus.

I don't like the notch screen and it's also too big. The price is too expensive.
Fairphone's consumer base doesn't give a single crap about "muh thick bezels".

I agree that it's too big. As for the price, it's the "standard" for niche, low production run electronics.
The Fairphone sells based on the premise of promoting easy repairability and an enviromentally-conscious, conflict mineral-free product, that kind of thing.
If you can't/don't want to spend money supporting that, it's understandable. I'd buy it if they were also working with the open-source communities, but alas that is not the case.
