Title: PC makers continue to eat into Mac's dwindling market share
Post by: Redaktion on January 14, 2020, 14:42:55
Market research estimates by Gartner and IDC indicate that Apple's share of the PC market continues to decline. With a 7.5 percent share as of Q4 2019, Apple remains the world's 4th largest PC seller. However, it is outsold significantly by market leaders Lenovo, HP, and Dell.

This post is the definition of fake news. "Mac sales are dwindling" - bruh check out any recent report on browser usage. Safari is getting more popular by the day, both in the mobile world (iOS Safari) and the desktop world (macOS Safari). The share of chrome firefox etc., all the browsers used on windows has been stagnant at best. Which means people keep stocking up on macs while ignoring the pc.

You're mixing up correlation and causation. There is a correlation between Safari usage and Mac sales, but Safari usage does not inherently mean Mac sales are going up just as higher Chrome usage does not necessarily mean Chromebook sales are going up. Furthermore contrary to your statement "the share of chrome Firefox etc., all the browsers used on windows has been stagnant at best.", Chrome has seen a steady increase of 5% since 3 years ago while Firefox has seen an almost 5% decrease in desktop browser according to Statcounter. Next time, if you want to make bold claims and use buzz words like "fake news", at least provide a source like Notebookcheck has.
