Title: Windows 10 in ARM 64-bit app support inbound
Post by: Redaktion on April 06, 2018, 09:37:35
If Microsoft is serious about keeping its Windows 10 on ARM dreams alive, it needs to bring support for 64-bit x86-based apps to the platform as soon as possible. An new SDK set to be introduced next month could help make this happen sooner rather than later.

ARM is going to explode in its ubiquity past mobile into servers, IOT, game consoles, and desktops and laptops. This is not a mystery to tech giants like Microsoft and Apple. If you are aware that ARM is the near future of mainstream computing you are ahead of the curve.

Old media narrative about ARM is inaccurate and needs to stop being repeated.

ARM is bringing the inevitable technological obsolescence of x86. Or were you expecting x86 to stand until the end of time.

There is already a successor to ARM called RISC V. The future is ARM vs RISC V which will be like Apple vs. Android.

x86 is dead.
