According to famed Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the 2022 iPhone line will include massive 48-megapixel sensors and will be able to record 8K video. Kuo also claims that Apple will kill off the Mini model that has so far struggled to sell.

"In the note, Kuo says that his firm believes "that the new 2H22 ‌iPhone‌ may support direct 48MP output and 12MP (four cells merge output mode) output simultaneously."

Oh no, please not another Quad Bayer sensor. It still doesn't do enough justice to beat the real oversampling method as Nokia (and Microsoft) has shown before.
