Intel has applied for a patent showing a unique take on the folding smartphone concept. Intel's approach would see the device fold in three places allowing it to be used in multiple configurations.

Useless! The form factor of the device is so small that bending and folding it to reduce its effective size even further makes the device totally unusable.
Pretty sure the whole intention behind foldable tech is to unfold as to increase the current screen real estate while keeping the small carrying form factor.
