Title: Lenovo ThinkPad T480 (Core i7-8650U, FHD) Laptop Review
Post by: Redaktion on July 18, 2018, 02:31:00
Think again. Today, we take a look at our second T480 configuration, this time with a Core i7-8650U, 512 GB NVMe SSD, and an FHD embedded touchscreen—at a lower price than before: a little over $1,700. Can this revised configuration take care of business?

The lower performance is because it only has a single heatsink compared to the T480s

The SSD benchmark shows that it is limited to 2 PCIE lanes? It's topping out just under 1800MB/s.

Correct. Both the NVMe SSD and TB3 port are limited to 2 PCIe lanes with only 16Gbps of bandwidth. Such a shame.
