Post by: Redaktion on February 10, 2019, 16:33:43
TV or monitor? This is the first question we had when we saw the Philips Momentum 436M6VBPAB display. The device lacks a TV tuner though, which makes it clear for what the monitor is intended. The Momentum also has 4K and HDR support, which is an interesting combination. Read on to find out whether the Momentum is suitable for desktop use and how it fares in our tests.

It use full BGR pixel, but only in white/black picture will the full 3-subpixel light up, so with text, it performs like any monitor.
But another colors beside white/black, it falls back to pentile rendering, one subsequent pixel is unlit. Hence you see block rendering in photos and videos. What a stupid design. Half pentile, half full RGB.
