Title: Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti gets leaked benchmarks, launches in February
Post by: Redaktion on January 22, 2019, 21:57:17
Now that Nvidia almost cleared its Pascal inventories, gamers are looking for a good price/performance ratio. The RTX 2070 and 2080 cards are certainly overpriced for now, and even the RTX 2060 could be a bit too much for the budget builds. According to the latest rumors, the budget gaming sector should get the GTX 1660 / Ti GPUs next month, and these cold also replace the GTX 1050 / Ti laptop GPUs, as well.

"1660ti" will have to be priced rather low otherwise there won't be any reason to buy it since the rx590 and RX 580 are out. I think they should sell it for about a $200 or $225 price range max. Nvidia could grab back some love then.

It would be nice to see the Ti version for US$200, but that price point is currently reserved for the GTX 1060. Maybe Nvidia could further impose price cuts on the Pascal models in order to get better MSRPs for the GTX 1660 GPUs.

is this meant to replace the 1050 / Ti? Or just be an alternative on the same level as the 2060?
