URLs nehmen bei stark strukturierten Verzeichnisstrukturen auf Internetseiten bisweilen biblische Ausmaße an, wobei viele Webseitenbetreiber keine eigenen Kurz-URLs anbieten. Google bot mit goo.gl bislang einen entsprechenden Service an, der nun allerdings abgeschalten wird.
