Title: AsusPro B9 is the world's lightest 14-inch business notebook powered by Ice Lake CPUs
Post by: Redaktion on September 05, 2019, 15:45:26
Hours after Acer announced its thinnest and lightest book with the introduction of the new Swift 5 model, Asus retaliated with the unveiling of a thinner and lighter AsusPro B9 business-class 14-incher. The AsusPro B9 is only 0.58 inches thick and weighs 1.94 lbs, yet it can still integrate Ice Lake quad-core CPUs, up to 32 GB of RAM, a dual 1 TB NVMe SSD storage combo and a Thunderbolt 3 port.

I get that Asus LIVES for checkbox items on their laptops, but weren't they having issues with this 'display' trackpad in their zenbooks?  I hope they fixed the heat or whatever issues they were rumored to be having before tossing it in another laptop.

Also, with all of that space, you'd think Asus would at least design their numpad with an industry standard double wide zero 'key' and a double tall enter key - you know, to make it useful for people who actually use keyboard numpads for work.   But since it is just a checkbox item, they might as well have just displayed hearts, stars, puppies, cats, or hell, maybe even a pony instead of numbers.  You know, to make it more appealing to the kiddies.   Of course, they could easily solve this problem if they allowed you to redesign it yourself, or at least remap the 'keys' on the numpad.

WOW, 66 is an amazing battery size for an ultrabook like this. Hey Lenovo, pay some fucking attention to this for your thinkpads

No buttons on hardware touchpad or trackpoint, no END key, key space wasted for a power button?

And they still don't offer on-site warranty.

You call this a business laptop? I call it a new toy for teens. (which is sad considering other things look decent)
