The Summit is almost ready to go online and it will become the fastest supercomputer ever built. It will average between 150 and 300 petaflops of processing power and will integrate 4,600 nodes that are powered by IBM and Nvidia processors, consuming 15 MW in full load.

So what do they actually do with these supercomputers once they've made them, apart from breaking records? Do they rent out the computational power to various 'customers', or do they perhaps sell it to an interested party?
Imagine the mining hashes this thing will pump out! ;D
They model various things starting from weather and ending with proteins and materials these computers are built of.
Thanks, so in general they rent out the computational power to interested parties rather than selling the entire setup?
