Weit in die Apple-Zukunft blickte der hochgeschätzte Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo und sah dort eine Rückkehr von Touch ID auf den über-übernächsten iPhones des Jahres 2021, allerdings in moderner Variante mit Sensor im Display. Face ID bleibe dennoch erhalten und auch die Apple Watch könnte Touch ID erhalten.
