Title: Atari VCS console finally available for public pre-order at $249

Atari's VCS game console is now available for pre-order from Atari, Walmart, and GameStop. The console starts at US $249 and comes in a two models with three different designs (depending on retailer). Walmart and GameStop are expected to ship pre-orders in March 2020.

Still controversial because this console is still vaporware.

Reading this article a lot later, I see that their Atari OS is now based on Debian, not Ubuntu. Also, I don't believe they've ever said it would game in 4K. Rather the 800 model will stream (video) at 4K. Gaming will undoubtedly be at 1080p as the norm, and since it CAN do 4K resolution, I would guess some graphically less demanding games and retro games may be made to display at the higher resolution, if it's your screen's native resolution.
