Title: ARM-based 12-inch MacBook with Apple Silicon could be in the works
Post by: Redaktion on July 14, 2021, 22:49:43
It's possible a new ARM-based 12-inch MacBook laptop sporting Apple Silicon could be in the pipeline according to a tipster. The so-called Retina MacBook was discontinued in 2019 with some criticism aimed at its usage of middling Intel processors. A 12-inch MacBook successor could utilize an M1 or even M2 SoC.

oh como on! I need it now! Just put M1 into every model and push it out. The 2017 model I have is so slow already... 😭

This is bad for Intel... A 12" netbook as fast or faster than a lot of their top of the line chips, all at 5-10x less power!

Only going to be a matter of time before the M1X spec bump and the M2 comes out...
