Electric vehicles have clearly boomed in popularity in the past few years, with many new companies and most established marques fighting to get a slice of the pie. With the market maturing, it seems more and more like EVs are the right choice for most car shoppers in 2023.

This article should not have been published for it's superficial nature. Each of three points made in the article are misleading. This is a complex matter, so I'll just say that in reality, electric cars have a long way to go to be come an every day form of transportation for everyone.

You forgot to mention the boogyman, easter bunny and jesus. While you are name dropping random stuff

QuoteImagine saying an EV "doesnt need that much maintenance". Ridiculous. The battery alone is a huge maintenance achilles heel.
EVs don't need much maintenance. The battery isn't a maintenance item. It requires 0 maintenance. The battery also comes with a 8-10 year warranty so even if you are one of the few who runs into an issue it won't cost a thing

Quote"but the overall ownership experience is simpler than an ICE vehicle could ever be" <---- good luck in cold weather, waiting in line for more than an hour to charge your car, updates breaking something and dealing with bugs.
EVs do better in cold weather than ICE cars. You are aware over 90% of new cars sold in Norway which is next to the arctic circle are EVs right?

Over 90% of charging happens at home, you spend 0 time waiting for anything. Only time you need to worry about charging outside of home is long trips that most people take once a blue moon at best. And EVs can now charge up to 200 miles in 15 minutes. So you get some lunch and you are charged.

EVs are much more convenient than ICE cars. You remind me of 20 years ago where people thought smartphones were inconvenient and feature phones were the rage. Now, no one wants to go back to a feature phone. An EV experience is one you can only understand after you own it

Nothing can ever be every day transport for "everyone". Gasoline cars don't work for Ammish or places with dense trees and no roads or mountains
