The predecessor was equipped with a swappable socket CPU for desktops, wiped the floor with the competition in terms of performance, but was clearly too loud. The current Apex 15 uses a normal laptop CPU, but still retains some features from the predecessor. This has advantages and disadvantages, but which ones outweigh the others?
