Screw ray tracing, i am not rendering anything on blender at the moment. Long time video card user, since the riva tnt  radeon 9800 etc. I got a A770 because i don't consider any vard on the market acceptable, i was going to nake the jump from a 670 to a 2060 but made it to a rx580 instead. Narrow busses with low ram and higher caches are not the kind of thing I want to be supporting. Its about the damn principle, I am not buying a stupid 3070 (rehashed 1060 with rtx) for the pricing of a 670 series. Get the f*** outta here with rhat s***. Then AMD jumps on that band wagon with a rebranded rx480 only to follow it up with an rx6600 or even rx6700. Thats not an upgrade path I want to be a part of.

Im hoping this happens so we can get more bands in the US, I was going to pay the extra to find a freight forwarding service to import a pre-order from the UK to the US, but if this is true then I can just buy it domestically. I cant imagine buying any other device on the market today given how bland every other phone is. I will be buying an Xperia flagship for every phone going forth regardless of cost and method to obtain it.

I wish companies stopped using the Helio chips tbh cause theyre so outdated.... @ the asking price this is just not worth it and they know they could sell this way cheaper esp if its Teclast who isnt known for their OS support.... Its a pointlessly large tablet with an underspecced chip....

Ive been saying this for years now but as a company One Plus is a lost cause. My whole family has been buying every one plus phone up until One Plus 7T Pro, but everything after that just went down hill. It all started at like OP6 when they started conforming and losing functionality and features. Theres really nothing interesting or special about their phones anymore they're just milking the fact that they're the only brand from China that can sell in the US under major carriers.

Hardware wise there extremely normie phones now....

Agreed. Requires volume+s/w ecosystem subsidization though, to bring down prices to ~$400 range, which very few companies are capable of doing both well.

I think what Asus has realised is that they can't really compete on either front vs valve & Nintendo, so they're now trying to push to the more premium sector of handhelds.

If they can't sell in volume, might aswell sell to the few niche market with decent margins, amirite?

Especially, moreso that they know other bigger players (Sony & MS) are watching this space closely. If they were to release a portable system, AMD would offer them the superior more custom silicon over Asus. And then they'd have no chance.

Hence for Asus, this is more just trying to capitalise on this short window of opportunity until the bigger players arrive with more polished systems and better user experience.
