Title: Note 20 Ultra: The display in Samsung's latest flagship is not a fan of flames
Post by: Redaktion on August 18, 2020, 18:52:38
The first smartphone with Corning Gorilla Glass 7, better known as Gorilla Glass Victus, has passed through the hands of JerryRigEverything with less than flying colours. While the Note 20 Ultra may be structurally sound, its AMOLED screen did not fare well during the YouTubers infamous burn test.

Does the flame test actually have any real world implications or is it just for fun? How many phones are dropped for every phone burned? Hundreds? Thousands? Even more?

Gorilla Glass 6 is scratch resistant up to 6 mohs, so what's the problem?

I don't understand why we're talking about literally burning screens when Samsung is notorious for their AMOLED discoloring aka: screen burn-in. It doesn't matter who has the most "vibrant" display when you see your buttons burned into the screen while watching movies. Samsung 8s and Samsung A71s had it the worst!! 😡 Samsung never wants to address or fix these issues and it's about time people get fed up with this.

Uh, no? Most people have realized that burn-in has ceased to become an issue 2-3 years ago.
