I don't think i have seen such improvement in last 10 years in CPU nevertheless it seems we are in CPU "Wonderful Failure Age" since  GPU are much faster in rendering, encoding, so while the effort is noted it is not enough.

Intel's upcoming 13th gen Raptor Lake flagship, the Core i9-13900K, has put up some impressive numbers in leaked Geekbench 5 and Cinebench R23 benchmarks. The Core i9-13900K shows perceivable improvements in single-core performance over the Core i9-12900K. The Raptor Lake behemoth is also able to leave the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X and the Ryzen 7 5800X far behind in both benchmarks, but the real deal lies in massive multi-core uplifts over these processors.
