Title: Dell Inspiron 7390 2-in-1 Black Edition Convertible Review
Post by: Redaktion on August 28, 2019, 08:33:11
The Inspiron 7390 2-in-1 might look very similar to its predecessor, but under the hood, a lot has changed. At $1250, the convertible packs a UHD display, Core i7-8565U, 16 GB RAM, and a 512 GB NVMe SSD. Is it the next convertible to beat?

I have one of these, and it seems to be plagued with the same dynamic contrast issue that we've seen across the XPS line.  The Intel control panel has an option to disable the dynamic contrast; however, like some of the previous XPS models, the hardware seems to ignore this setting.

There even seemed to be a few XPS models where Dell issued a BIOS patch that would set the dynamic contrast to 1 or 0, based upon which EXE you ran.

Buyer beware.  This "feature" can drive you crazy.
