Title: Chinese leaker makes wild claims about Intel's Alder Lake desktop platform
Post by: Redaktion on October 13, 2021, 20:20:14
One of the more outlandish claims includes information about the Q4 Alder Lake supply that is expected to be limited to only 300,000 units, which would lead to significantly increased prices. Things are getting really iffy when the Chinese leaker starts explaining that the big.LITTLE hybrid core architecture does not work on Windows 10, where the big cores are completely disabled, then he drops the bomb stating that DDR5 RAM kits needs to be overclocked to at least 8000 MT/s in order to notice any performance gains over DDR4-3600.

Sounds like a mess, honestly. And I knew they would only support Windows 11. With this, they practically will be shooting themselves on the foot again.

The only "positive" thing is that it seems there would be normal models without that big.LITTLE arrangement

of course they'll only work on windows 11 where because of some "bugs" - bugs that absolutely no one, like not a single person in the entire planet! noticed during the beta (there are only thousands of reports on this problem lol) - the competition is struggling :D

you can't even make s*** like this up, oh poor intel...
