The demonstration of the HPC chiplet proves that semiconductor production is not TSMC's only strong point. The Taiwanese company is trying to prove that its new LIPINCON architecture used in the chiplet interconnect mesh is a better solution compared to Intel's AIB or AMD's Infinity Fabric, and it should make its way to commercial processors in 2020.
