China's progress with the home-grown CPUs and GPUs is relentless. The new Big Island general purpose GPUs produced by Tianshu Zhixin are able to take advantage of TSMC's 7 nm tech and provide a competitive price/performance ratio. Internal benchmarks reveal that the Big island GPUs can be faster than Nvidia's A100 models, but they are not exactly a match for AMD's Instinct MI100.

All the tech in china comes from the US, chinese did not invent anything nor they did something new in tech, all of those tech it is shared tech as a fee- taking for production in China. Until nowaday it was mandatory to give technology for production in china. Now it have not changed much still it is mandatory to give the tech to china if you produce something, that is explain why Intel did not want to use other fab's than it's own and even now they are probably going to unload those fab's but only for producing less advanced chips cause again tech sharing. 8)
The Chinese, Japanese etc low cost countries never have really originated anything in tech they just are cost cutting centers for the oligarchy as well as bring everyone else down to subsistence levels via "free" trade marxist internationalism. The huge tech and wealth transfer during the soviet era is repeating with the chinese soviet, without it these marxist regimes would collapse, you have to have criminal "redistribution" for that corpse to look like Lenin's lol. The same tribe is behind all this btw has been for centuries.
Great, I really needed some QAnon level of degeneracy in the comments to make my day better.
Intel's been abusing their monopoly position since day 1, and Nvidia's getting worse, etarting to acrively bully and censor reviewers of their GPUs.

Agreed (maybe not with the wording), but Japan is NOT a "low-cost" country. And they ARE innovators. FinFET. LEDs. LaserJet. Et cetera. It's really just China, of all the region, that's such a net-negative... Hole.
On a side note. Would we, I mean us - the wypipo, would we really be worse-off w/o the Japanese 14nm FinFET - if we already had our 22nm TriGate?.. Even those dense 28nm planars were good enough for PS4, A6-1400 tablets...
Excellent. But China should concentrate on fans. That's the choke point.

Comes from US? US can't make a washing machine by itself. In fact i doubt 90% of its population even know how a washing machine works. LOL.
;D

TSMC is not Chinese. It is Taiwanese.
