Title: Dell Inspiron 17-5748 Notebook Review
Post by: Redaktion on August 02, 2014, 18:09:20
Seventeen and having fun. The new Inspiron 17-5748 is a member of Dell's lower mid-range, multimedia laptops: Not as elegant as the XPS models, they still feature aluminum on the casing. We explain in this report why it is good for multimedia fans, but barely suitable for gamers.

Now Dell is adding NVIDIA® GeForce® 840M 2GB DDR3L, for the 5748. Going for $899.99 CDN.

I got this laptop for a discount price during the before school sale in canada. Aside from BSODs due to bloatware, BIOS errors specific to this OEM, and the crappy windows 8.1, I am enjoying this product. I can play league of legends and skyrim on max. :) Of course, this differs from the review model, which did not have the gt 840m that mine had. For ~800 canadian plus tax, this is the best laptop cpu + gpu canadians are offered.

This laptop is absolutely bullshit!
Unusable touchpad, 1 SoDimm slot and LCD screen without normal edges
